Mizuka Ueno on Stage with The Tokyo Ballet will be presented in Tokyo, Hamamatsu and Yokosuka in March 2024. The Tokyo performances will be presented as part of the 20th edition of the Spring Festival in Tokyo, one of the largest music festivals in Japan.

The Company is also delighted to present the performances in commemoration of Mizuka Ueno's receipt of the Medal with Purple Ribbon by the Japanese government in Autumn 2023. She was awarded for her long-time contributions to artistic developments, improvements and accomplishments.

The programs will be composed of her favorite ballets including Maurice Béjart's Boléro and Roland Petit's "La Méditation de Thaïs" from Ma Pavlova to showcase her ever evolving artistry. An excerpt from Don Quixote will also be danced by The Tokyo Ballet. In Hamamatsu and Yokosuka, she will be joined again by Yasuo Atsuji, former Principal of Birmingham Royal Ballet, as a guest dancer.
