Since her assumption of the position of Artistic Director of The Tokyo Ballet in 2015, Yukari Saito has staged new productions of two of the Tchaikovsky ballets: Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. The Tokyo Ballet is delighted to world premiere in November her new production of The Sleeping Beauty to conclude the new production series of the three great Tchaikovsky ballets.
The Sleeping Beauty with choreography by Marius Petipa and music by Pyotr Tchaikovsky was premiered in 1890, which is widely considered to be a summation of 19th-century classicism, with its exemplary collaboration between composer and choreographer. Yukari Saito aims to create a graceful, modern production grounded in her profound dance experience of the ballet, while embracing the distinct flavor as a classic. Sets and costumes are being created by the same reliable creative team as Saito's two previous new productions. Don't miss out!

1. Parent and Child Tickets (Categories S, A & B)
Child tickets for children aged 6 to 18 are half the adult price. Parent and Child Tickets will go on sale on Tuesday 11 July 2023 at 10:00 at NBS WEB Ticket and NBS Ticket Center (Phone 03-3791-8888). Up to two child tickets per one adult ticket can be purchased. You can select seat category but cannot select seat(s). Our system automatically allocates the "best available" seating to you for the price category you have selected.
2. 25 and Under Tickets (for Tokyo Bunka Kaikan)
¥2,000 tickets for those aged 6 to 25 years go on sale on Thursday 11 July 2023, 20:00 at NBS WEB Ticket. You must bring identity documents with proof of age to pick up your tickets at the venue on the performance day.
3. Discount for two persons (Categories S, A & B)
Enjoy a discount of \1,000 for two persons. Tickets will be on sale during the periods of presales and the general sales at NBS WEB Ticket and NBS Ticket Center (Phone 03-3791-8888).

Performance Dates & Tickets
Sonya Yoncheva, one of the greatest sopranos of her generations, made a sensational Japanese debut in July 2022. She returns to Japan this September to sing another mesmerizing program of opera arias from Bellini's Il Pirata, Mascagni's Iris, Massenet's Thaïs, Leoncavallo's La bohème among others.
The Italian conductor Francesco Ivan Ciampa will conduct the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra. It is a concert not to be missed.
