Update: NBS Ticket Center and NBS WEB Ticket to Reopen on 7 May 2020

NBS Ticket Center and NBS WEB Ticket will reopen on Thursday 7 May 2020, at 10:00 am. However, for the time being, NBS Ticket Center will open for shorter operating hours which are from 10:00 to 14:00 from Monday to Friday. It will be closed on Saturday, Sunday and public holiday. It will exceptionally open on Saturday 9 May 2020 from 10:00 to 13:00.

Please note that the operating hours of NBS Ticket Center and NBS WEB Ticket are subject to change in line with the governmental request related to the prevention of the spread of the new coronavirus.

Online Festival "Ballet Holiday @home", 25--29 April 2020

We are delighted to invite you to join us for the online ballet festival "Ballet Holiday @home" to be streamed from Saturday 25 to Wednesday 29 April 2020. Organized to replace the 4th Ballet Holiday in Ueno no Mori, it will offer exciting programs (free except for one paid program), featuring stellar artists including dancers, former dancers and teachers around the world.

Important Update: Béjart Ballet Lausanne Japan Tour in May 2020 Suspended

The Béjart Ballet Lausanne and Japan Performing Arts Foundation have taken the decision with a heavy heart to suspend the Béjart Ballet Lausanne's Japan tour due to the on-going global coronavirus concerns. The tour was due to start on May 13 and conclude on May 31, 2020, with total of 10 shows in Tokyo, Nagoya, Nishinomiya, Sapporo, Takasaki and Kawaguchi.


We are actively discussing to reschedule the tour and hoping to announce as soon as it is finalized on our Website and social media. Thank you for your patience.


We will shortly announce ticket information of the suspended performances at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, including our refund policy. Ticket holders are kindly requested to check our Website and social media. For those who have tickets for the suspended performances in Nagoya, Nishinomiya, Sapporo, Takasaki and Kawaguchi, please check the updates posted by each presenter.

Important Updates: Performances and events scheduled in April at Ballet Holiday in Ueno no Mori 2020 are canceled

Ballet Holiday in Ueno no Mori Organizing Committee has taken the decision with a heavy heart to cancel the performances, including the recently announced performances of Swan Lake, and events scheduled from Saturday 25 to Wednesday 29 April at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan in cooperation with nationwide efforts to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus.


We apologize to our valued audiences who have been anticipating the performances and events, but appreciate everyone's kind understanding for the unavoidable situation and your continued support.


Instead of the live performances and events, we are planning to stream online content related to the Ballet Holiday in Ueno no Mori for you to be able to enjoy watching at home. Details of the content will be announced on our Website.


We will announce an update about the details of ticket refunds of the canceled performances and events shortly. We kindly ask ticket holders to check our Website and social media.
