Cast Change: Ambrogio Maestri to sing in La traviata【Teatro dell'Opera di Roma】
Baritone Leo Nucci has regretfully withdrawn from his four scheduled performances as Giorgio Germont in the upcoming Teatro dell'Opera di Roma's production of La traviata in Tokyo on 9, 12, 15 and 17 September 2018. He had been looking forward to singing for the Japanese fans, but has decided to curtail his performances outside Europe.
The role of Giorgio Germont will now be sung by Italian baritone Ambrogio Maestri.
Ambrogio Maestri's sensational debut in 2001 coincided with the most important event of the Verdi Centennial, Falstaff, conducted by Riccardo Muti and directed by Giorgio Strehler, which saw him in the leading role at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and Teatro Verdi in Bussetto. This interpretation earned him enthusiastic reviews from the international press and opened the doors of the most important opera houses in the world. He sang the title role in Falstaff in Japan with the Teatro alla Scala on its 2013 Japan tour.

The Stuttgart Ballet 2018 Japan Tour
The Stuttgart Ballet 2018 Japan Tour begins Friday 2 November 2018 in Tokyo. This time, the company will bring two of the signature works by John Cranko, Onegin and Swan Lake.

Artistic Director David Bintley joins Pre-Performance Talk of La Fille mal gardée on 26 May 2018【Birmingham Royal Ballet】
Artistic Director David Bintley will be another speaker to join Kosuke Yamamoto for the Pre-Performance Talk on 26 May 2018.
The role of Widow Simone in La Fille mal gardée used to be one of Mr. Bintley's most successful roles as a dancer. It will be the last and precious opportunity to witness him in a pre-performance talk as Artistic Director.

Cast Changes: The Sleeping Beauty on 19 May 2018【Birmingham Royal Ballet】
It has been necessary to make the following cast changes for the performance of Birmingham Royal Ballet's The Sleeping Beauty on 19 May 2018.
Due to injury, Delia Mathews is replaced by Nao Sakuma as Princess Aurora.
Due to the partnership with Nao Sakuma, Brandon Lawrence is replaced by Yasuo Atsuji as Prince Florimund.
